Cyber Security Services 3 Framework Extended to 2029

Crown Commercial Service (CCS) has officially extended the Cyber Security Services 3 framework by two years, moving its end date back to 13 February 2029. This extension ensures that public sector organisations across the UK can continue to procure a wide range of cyber security services.

As a supplier on the framework, Bramble Hub will continue to offer our partners’ cyber security solutions to government departments and the wider public sector throughout this extended period.

G-Cloud 14 frameworks extended by CCS

The Crown Commercial Service has extended the two G-Cloud 14 frameworks (Lots 1-3 and Lot 4) by six months, meaning they will now run until 28 October 2026. This applies to all lots, covering cloud hosting, software, support and complex cloud migration services.

Extension announcement

Crown Commercial Service confirmed that G-Cloud 14, originally scheduled to end on 28 April 2026, will continue in place until 28 October 2026 following a six‑month extension.

Purpose of the extension

The extension is intended to give additional time to complete procurement and transition to the next iteration, G-Cloud 15, without disrupting ongoing or planned call-off contracts. Official notices indicate that the additional period will be used to finalise the new framework while maintaining continuity of access to cloud services across central and local government, health, education and wider public sector bodies.

Scope and value

The extension applies to Lots 1-3 (cloud hosting, software and support) and Lot 4, which focuses on major or complex cloud migration projects. Existing value envelopes of up to £6.5 billion for Lots 1-3 and £1 billion for Lot 4 remain in place, with recent notices indicating additional headroom of up to £1.65 billion across the extended term.

Impact for buyers and suppliers

For public sector buyers, the decision means they can continue to use established G-Cloud 14 catalogues and call-off arrangements for cloud procurement through to October 2026, avoiding the need for short-term alternative routes. For suppliers, including Bramble Hub and partners, the extension provides a longer timescale to deliver existing services and plan for G-Cloud 15.
