Bramble Hub, and our partner TOPdesk, have been awarded a contract to supply TOPdesk’s helpdesk solution to Dixons Academy Trust.
Dixons Academy Trust operates 17 schools in the north of England.
The contract was awarded via the G-Cloud 13 (Lots 1-3) framework from Crown Commercial Service.
18 years ago, Bramble Hub (then known as bramble.cc) began selling solutions via government procurement frameworks.
On 5 May 2006, the Specialist Solutions framework was declared open for business by OGCbuying.solutions, an executive agency of the Office of Government Commerce (OGC). In turn, OGC was an office of the UK Treasury. Bramble.cc was named as one of the suppliers on this new framework, which gave us a new route to provide our consultancy services to public sector clients.
This key moment in our company’s history set us on the path to developing the thin-prime model we operate today: we soon began to subcontract other suppliers, and eventually stopped delivering services ourselves. The OGC (which may have been best known for an embarrassing logo design) operated between 2000 and 2011.
Today, we supply our partners’ products and services via almost 20 public sector procurement frameworks from Crown Commercial Service (CCS) as well as NHS bodies.
NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) has announced the launch of a new procurement framework. The new framework – Cloud Solutions 2 (SBS10256)– is designed to allow public sector organisations to purchase a range of cloud computing services.
The framework has four lots allowing the procurement of services from consultancy through to implementation.
The framework opened for business on 25 April 2024, and is scheduled to operate for two years.

Bramble Hub, and our partner TOPdesk, have been awarded a contract by the Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust to provide a helpdesk solution.
TOPdesk will deliver its award-winning, cloud-based helpdesk software along with consultancy and support. The contract will run for an initial 36 months, with scope to extend for a further 12.
Mersey and West Lancashire NHS Trust employs around 9,000 staff and serves a population of over 600,000 people in north-west England.
The contract was awarded under the G-Cloud 13 (Lots 1-3) framework from Crown Commercial Service, and represents the continuation of a successful relationship between Bramble Hub and TOPdesk spanning almost a decade.
The Department of Work and Pensions has appointed Bramble Hub, and our partner Gemserv, to help the Department meet its carbon reduction targets. The government has committed to reaching Net Zero carbon by 2050, and the DWP is the fourth-biggest carbon-emitting department.
Gemserv will be supporting the DWP’s carbon reduction programme by reporting annually on the Department’s Scope 3 carbon emissions: these are emissions created externally by the Department’s supply chain.
Gemserv provides expertise in clean energy transition as well as other areas of consultancy.
The project was awarded under the Management Consultancy Framework 3 from Crown Commercial Service.

Crown Commercial Service (CCS) has announced the extension of their Big Data and Analytics framework (RM6195). The framework, which had been due to close in August 2024, has been extended for two years.

NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) has announced the launch of a major new procurement framework. The new framework – Consultancy and Advisory Services for Health (SBS10197)– is designed to allow public sector organisations to purchase a broad range of consulting services that have a focus on health or care.
The framework has 10 lots covering over 100 types of consulting services, and Bramble Hub is a supplier on all 10. This means we can supply our partners’ expert services in the healthcare sector, ranging from business analysis and project management to finance and specialist pandemic-related services.
Richard Archer, MD of Bramble Hub, said “This ambitious new NHS SBS framework offers a new route for healthcare organisations to buy consultancy services, and we are delighted to have been named as a supplier on all lots. We have numerous partners that offer specialist services for the health and care sectors, and expect that many of them will benefit by being able to provide their expertise on this framework via our thin-prime model.”

At the end of February, the Financial Times published its annual list of the UK’s leading management consultants. The list, which includes seven Bramble Hub partners, is now in its seventh year, and is based on recommendations by clients and peers of consultancy companies, and is compiled by the Financial Times and Statista.

Crown Commercial Service has announced an 18-month extension to the Vertical Application Solutions framework (VAS – RM6259). The framework is now due to close on 6 March 2027.
Bramble Hub is a supplier on all five lots of the CCS VAS framework, and will continue to provide services on all five until the new closing date.
The VAS framework covers a wide range of vertical solutions covering specific needs of sectors such as local government, civil enforcement, health and social care, housing, waste management, recreation and blue light. Via VAS, Bramble Hub partners provide a rich variety of vertical solutions across the public sector.

Bramble Hub, and our partner Socitm Advisory, have been awarded a contract by Isle of Wight Council to evaluate the Council’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system strategy.
Socitm Advisory will evaluate the Council’s existing ERP system, before analysing future aspirations and then creating a business case allowing the Council to move forward with a new or updated system.
Isle of Wight Council is the unitary authority for the Isle of Wight, covering a population of around 140,000 people.
Socitm Advisory is a Bramble Hub partner specialising in the transformation and improvement of public services.
