Bramble Hub’s high standards of quality and information security confirmed

We are pleased to announce that Bramble Hub successfully passed the external assessment for re-certification to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001:2013. This means that independent auditors have found our Quality, Environmental and Information Security Management Systems to be operating in full compliance with the requirements of the standards.

We are among the first companies to have been operating our systems to the new ISO standards for over a year and this has allowed us to take advantage of the new high level structure and framework across the standards to streamline and integrate our controls and review processes wherever possible.

We are also delighted to be able to announce that we have now also been tested and certified under the government-backed Cyber Essentials Plus scheme, which confirms that our infrastructure is protected by effective and efficient security measures.

These certificates don’t just look pretty on our website – they represent a real commitment to our partners and customers that we continue to operate to the highest possible standards.

All change at Crown Commercial Service

It’s all change at Crown Commercial Service. The Government purchasing agency’s commercial director for technology, Sarah Hurrell, has left for a new private sector role with the market-leading accounting and payroll software provider Sage.

Rob Nixon takes over from Sarah as Commercial Director for the technology pillar. He is an experienced international procurement leader with expertise in every aspect of supply management, including direct and indirect global procurement, outsourcing and off-shoring. He’s also speaking at this year’s Public Sector Show, held at ExCel London in late June.

CEO Sally Collier is also leaving CCS, to take a Chief Regulator role with Ofqual chief regulator. During her time at CCS she worked hard to champion the government’s involvement with SMEs via the Contract Finder website and also helped abolish pre-qualification questionnaires for IT contracts.

Malcolm Harrison is taking over as an interim COE to replace Sally, and he has an impressive track record. He has worked his way up through the procurement hierarchy, from buyer to manager to CPO, and as a result he has exactly the right broad-brush expertise for the job.
