Grant Thornton Providing Economics Expertise to Support Government’s Net Zero Strategy

Bramble Hub and our partner Grant Thornton have been contracted by the Department for Energy and Net Zero in order to work with the Department in the delivery of a Net Zero and Nature Workforce Action Plan that the Government has committed to delivering in 2024.

Grant Thornton will be providing economics expertise to the project.

The Department for Energy and Net Zero was created in 2023 to take over the energy policy responsibilities of the former Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy.

The contract was awarded under the Management Consultancy Framework 3 (MCF3) from Crown Commercial Service.

Twenty-Seven Consulting Wins More Work at Defra

Bramble Hub, and our partner Twenty-Seven Consulting (27C), have won a contract with the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) to provide consultancy on strategic workforce development.

27C will work with Defra to develop capabilities including engineering and construction. The areas covered will include Science Capability in Animal Health (SCAH).

27C specialises in strategic re-modelling and capability building to support new programmes, transformation, and change for the public sector. For more information, see their partner page.

The contract was awarded under the Information Management and Technology framework from the NHS London Procurement Partnership.

Ulster University Chooses Xn Leisure, Again

Ulster University has selected Bramble Hub partner Xn Leisure to provide leisure management software. The new deal follows the expiry of the University’s previous deal with Xn Leisure.

The Xn solution will support leisure activities at four sites in Northern Ireland, and includes the Joining, Bookings and Timetable modules. The deal also covers training support, cloud hosting and priority support.

Ulster University has campuses in Belfast, Coleraine and Derry-Londonderry, as well as a Sports Village in Jordanstown.

Xn Leisure has offered advanced software solutions to the leisure and health industry for over 30 years, and their software is used at over 800 UK leisure sites. For more information, please see their partner page.

The contract was awarded under the Vertical Application Solutions framework from Crown Commercial Service.

Disposal of IT Assets for the National Nuclear Laboratory

Bramble Hub and our partner S2S Electronics have been commissioned by the National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) to securely destroy and dispose of IT hardware assets.

NNL was established in 2008 in order to bring together the UK’s nuclear research and development capability into one organisation. Its workforce represents a combined 10,000 years of expertise in nuclear science and technology.

S2S Group provides secure destruction and recycling of technology assets, both on customer premises and at its own facilities. For more info, please see their partner page.

Peopletoo Advising Argyll And Bute on Roads and Infrastructure

Argyll and Bute Council has appointed Bramble Hub, and our partner Peopletoo, to undertake a review of roads and infrastructure services (RIS).

With council budgets being reduced, the review will look at various aspects of the RIS, including scope for cost reduction, innovation, commercialisation and other issues. Peopletoo’s final report is due to be delivered during 2023.

Argyll and Bute Council covers a population of around 86,000 in the west of Scotland.

Dorset Software Brings Software Development Expertise to Aneurin Bevan Health Board

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board has appointed Bramble Hub, and our partner Dorset Software, to provide software development and associated project management services.

The Dorset team will be working on new and existing systems using an Agile approach, and utilizing a variety of Microsoft technologies including SQL Server, C# and .Net Core.

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is the local health board of NHS Wales for Gwent, in Wales.

The Royal Parks take on Transformation Challenge with Help from Project One

The Royal Parks (TRP) has appointed Bramble Hub and our partner Project One to provide consultants in order to help TRP carry out a consultancy exercise.

TRP is in the process of creating a Strategy and Portfolio Office, and have chosen to work with Project One’s programme management specialists in carrying out this business transformation. The project is expected to run for a period of up to 12 months.

TRP is a charity that manages London’s eight Royal Parks, some of the world’s best-known green spaces, including Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, St James’s Park and Greenwich Park. In addition, TRP is responsible for two other spaces: Victoria Tower Gardens and Brompton Cemetery.

Project One specializes in complex transformation and change, and was recently named as the UK’s top boutique consultancy for project and programme management. For more information, see their partner page.

Socitm Advisory Supporting Major Business Integration Programme for Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is undertaking a programme to implement a new ERP system, and has appointed Bramble Hub and our partner Socitm Advisory to support the programme, and help to bring about the necessary changes to its business processes and culture.

Along with delivering a new ERP system for the council, Socitm’s goals include service design, data management and migration, controlling costs and maximizing value. The system is due to go live around September 2024.

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is a small but densely-populated borough in inner London, covering a population of over 140,000 people.
