PPL was formed in 2017 by two senior BP procurement and supply chain (PSCM) managers to address under-performance in the PSCM functions of many public-sector bodies at both local and national level.
Steven Day is an experienced and accomplished procurement and supply chain leader. He worked in executive leadership positions for ExxonMobil and BP before co-founding PPL. He now directs the PPL technical team that advises UK public sector organisations on how to develop value-creating strategies and how to execute those strategies with precision to deliver exceptional value for money.
David Johns has a 20-year PSCM consultancy track record in many industries and public bodies, after a corporate career in aerospace, defence, energy and telecoms. His experience in public-sector procurement and contracting has been in defence, health, overseas aid and transport. He lives in London.
PPL offers consultancy in all aspects of procurement strategy development and implementation, and provides procurement resources for many requirements, from maternity cover through project implementation (integrated with, and augmenting clients’ teams) to short-cycle management and delivery of specified outcomes.
