The West Yorkshire Combined Authority brings together the five West Yorkshire District Councils (Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield), working alongside the business-led Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) to transform the City Region economy.

The Requirement

WYCA is embarking on a major IT transformation programme to simplify its ICT estate and drive up productivity, and needed a Transformation Partner to manage, oversight and governance of the programme. The Authority were looking for a transformation Partner who is adept at managing a range of specific projects aimed at delivering on the organisation’s Corporate Technology Programme and Service Management and operational improvements.

As part of the delivery West Yorkshire had a requirement for the provision of service management consultancy to support the delivery of its ICT Services and to deliver an ambitious service improvement programme that will implement a Service Management Systems that align the service and its processes to recognised industry standards. WYCA issued an ITT under Crown Commercial Service’s Technology Services 2 framework, RM3804.

Our Success

Through Bramble Hub, risual were selected as the partner managing the technology side of the programme, working with Caja as their delivery partner. Both risual and Caja have a vast amount of experience in delivering large transformational projects throughout the whole lifecycle, from business change through to the technical delivery and are able to offer a wide range of benefits through transformational activities to simplify West Yorkshire Combined Authority’s ICT estate and drive up productivity – vital to driving long-term success within the authority.
