Doncaster renews its Axiell Library Management System contract

Background
Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council (DBC) provides services to over 300,000 residents of Doncaster and surrounding area in South Yorkshire. This includes supporting 25 libraries across the Borough.
The Requirement
DBC’s contract for their Library Management System was due to expire and they wanted to take the opportunity to update their system in the light of a planned move to a new Central Library building in 2020. The Council used Crown Commercial Service’s Local Authority Software Applications framework, RM1059 to identify suitable solutions.
Our Success
DBC opted to continue to use the fully hosted Galaxy LMS system from Bramble Hub and Axiell, with a new Sparks clientless front end for staff and volunteer users and some enhanced components for MI and analytics, online charging etc.
