NHS England has tasked health and care authorities across the country to work together to create local blueprints for implementing 5-year Sustainability and Transformation Plans (STPs) to ensure the sustainability of NHS services into the future.
Health commissioners and providers in the South-East London STP area identified the patient and system benefits that may be achievable through a model of Accountable Care Systems and wanted to explore potential ways in which these could be implemented across the STP area. NHS Southwark Clinical Commissioning Group, supported by the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust’s procurement department, went out to tender for the Design and Implementation of Accountable Care Systems under Crown Commercial Services’ ConsultancyOne framework, RM1502.
Bramble Hub and Credo Consulting won the contract on the basis that their team could offer the right qualifications and appropriate experience. A design phase will be followed by 12 months implementation support from October 2017.
